Privacy Policy

Founding Talent is a software platform that helps businesses manage clients, staff, scheduling, quotes, and payments. We are the data controller for personal data you provide when using the platform.

Account information (name, email, role), business information you enter (client records, staff records, quotes, bookings, invoices), authentication data, and usage/diagnostic data (IP address, device type, log events). Payment card details are handled directly by our payments provider (Stripe) and are not stored by us.

To provide the platform, authenticate you, sync your calendar, send transactional emails, take payment, provide support, and meet legal and accounting obligations.

If you connect your Google account, we access Google user data solely to provide the features you have enabled. Specifically:

• Basic profile & email (openid, profile, email) — used to sign you in and identify your account.
• Google Calendar events (calendar.events) — used to create, read, update, and delete calendar events on your behalf so bookings and appointments stay in sync with your calendar.

We do not sell Google user data, do not use it for advertising, and do not use it to train generalised or AI/ML models. Access is limited to features you use; we do not read events unrelated to the platform's scheduling function. You can revoke access at any time in your Google account at myaccount.google.com/permissions or from within Founding Talent.

Founding Talent's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Performance of our contract with you, our legitimate interests in running and improving the service, your consent (for connected integrations such as Google), and legal obligations (e.g. tax records).

With sub-processors that help us run the platform: our hosting and database provider, email delivery provider, payments provider (Stripe), and Google (for Calendar sync where you have connected it). We do not sell your data.

Account and business records are retained for as long as your account is active and up to 7 years after closure to meet accounting requirements. Google Calendar tokens are retained only while your Google integration is connected and are deleted on disconnection.

You can ask us to access, correct, delete, or export your data, and you can object to certain uses. Contact us at support@foundingtalent.io and we will respond within one month.

We use encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS), role-based access control, row-level security on our database, and industry-standard authentication. No system is perfectly secure; please use a strong, unique password.

You can complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk if you are unhappy with how we have handled your data.
